| London cinemas |
| Home of the majority of UK premieres, the cinemas of Leicester Square and surrounds are the best it gets. From the blockbuster Odeon to the arty Curzon, if you're going to find it, you'll do so here. |
| Lumiere
(West-end)
| A melt away cinema showing populist arthouse movies. Expect lots of chat about directors and the fact that their last film was better. Unless that is of course, if the director is there, in which case 'I loved the second scene' |
| Odeon Leic Sqr.
(West-end)
| The largest cinema in London, probably the UK. The Odeon seems to be winning the battle with the Empire across the Square and has become the see and be seen premiere night cinema. |
| Curzon West End
(West-end)
| A nice cinema where you are more likely to see 'Run Lolla Run' than Terminator6. Comfy seats and a relaxing bar. The place to see international films in their original language. This is not always obvious so be aware. |
| Empire
(West-end)
| The cinema with big sound, big screen and never ending big blockbusters. The Empire is in constant competition with the Odeon opposite as to which cinema should show the British premiere. Usual popcorn etc... |
| ABC Shaftsbury Avenue
(West-end)
| Usual blockbuster type cinema but unlikely to show trash. Probably a middle way between a blockbuster cinema and a not so blockbuster cinema. |
| Nice selection, but I'm looking for : |
